Both connections are checked
Credentials for ActiveCampaign and Keap are checked and sign in tokens refreshed automatically. If a connection was removed on either side, the integration pauses and you get one message with a reconnect button.
Conflicts
When both sides changed the same record
- For each two way record type you choose whether ActiveCampaign or Keap leads. The leading side always runs first in a sync.
- It only matters when the same record changed in both systems between two syncs. Every other change simply travels.
- A record is never moved backwards by a sync: a paid invoice is not reopened, a decided quote is not undecided.

No. A contact the sync creates in ActiveCampaign lands without a list and without tags, so no campaign starts until you add it to one, for example with an automation.

No. A deal already lost before its first sync is not created. An open one follows to won or lost when it closes, and a closed deal is never reopened.
ActiveCampaign emails the deal owner about every deal change, and the deals the sync writes belong to the user whose API key you used. Turn deal notifications off for that user if that is too much mail.
Contacts do. Everything about opportunities needs Keap Max Classic, because Keap opens opportunities to other apps only on that edition. On Keap Pro and Max contacts keep syncing and the deal rows stay empty.
No. Customers only and leads only are offered only when ActiveCampaign sends, where a contact on a won deal counts as a customer.
No. Before anything is created in ActiveCampaign or Keap, the platform looks for the same record first and updates that one instead. Records synced before stay linked.
