What syncs between Housecall Pro and Jobber
Direction words mean exactly what they say. Two way means changes flow in both directions and the platform keeps the two systems agreeing. One way means data flows from the source into the destination.

No duplicates
Before creating a customer in Housecall Pro the platform searches and only trusts an exact email or same subscriber phone match; before creating a Jobber client it checks email and phone.
Addresses are set at creation in Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro's update endpoint does not accept addresses, so an address travels into Housecall Pro when the customer is created there, and later address changes flow from Housecall Pro to Jobber, not the other way. Stated plainly because it is a real product boundary.
Customer or lead, proven
A Housecall Pro customer with at least one completed job counts as a customer. Detection only promotes, never demotes. This powers the customers only and leads only sync filters.

Echo protection
On the two way customer sync the platform remembers what it wrote, so its own update coming back is never mistaken for a new change.
Change detection
Every record has a fingerprint; unchanged records are skipped.
Updates never wipe fields
Only filled fields are sent to Housecall Pro; a partial update cannot blank anything.

You decide what travels, and when
Contact trigger
Everyone, customers only, or leads only.
Sync from date
Only records dated on or after a chosen date travel. Contacts have no date and always travel.
Frequency
From every 30 minutes to every 3 days, per plan. Every 4 hours is included on every plan; faster intervals come with the higher plans.

How Housecall Pro connects
API key
Housecall Pro connects with an API key from the Housecall Pro app store settings: paste it into the setup wizard, done. The key is stored encrypted and can be replaced at any time from the integration's connections tab. The stored key is never displayed, only replaced.
