What happens when the same record changed on both sides?

For every two way record type you pick a leading system. When both sides changed between two syncs, the leading side wins. Everything else is applied as normal.

Will it create duplicates?

No. Records that were synced before are matched by their link. Before anything new is created, the platform looks for an existing record first, by email, phone or name for contacts and by invoice number where the system supports it, and updates that one instead.

What if a connection is disconnected?

The platform notices, switches that connection off, pauses the integrations that use it and sends you one message with a reconnect button. Reconnecting takes one click and syncing resumes.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 7 days, once per account, with a card up front through Stripe's hosted checkout. Nothing is charged until the trial ends. Two way sync is included from the Growth plan.

What syncs between Stripe and Jobber

Direction words mean exactly what they say. Two way means changes flow in both directions and the platform keeps the two systems agreeing. One way means data flows from the source into the destination.

The one name field is handled with care

Stripe stores a single name where Jobber stores first and last. The platform splits sensibly when reading, joins when creating in Stripe, and deliberately does not rewrite the Stripe name on later updates, because repeatedly re joining a split name is how integrations mangle names. Set once, then left alone.

No duplicates

Stripe happily stores two customers with the same email; the platform does not. Before creating a Stripe customer it searches by exact email and updates the match instead.

Customer or lead, proven

A Stripe customer with at least one fully paid invoice counts as a customer. Detection only promotes, never demotes. This powers the customers only and leads only sync filters.

Echo protection
On the two way contact sync the platform remembers what it wrote, so its own update coming back from Stripe is never mistaken for a new change.
Change detection
Every record has a fingerprint; unchanged records are skipped, so a settled sync reads thousands and writes nothing.

Restricted API key

Stripe connects with a secret API key: create a restricted key in the Stripe dashboard, paste it into the setup wizard, done. The key is stored encrypted and can be replaced at any time from the integration's connections tab. The stored key is never displayed, only replaced. Rotating the key in Stripe and pasting the new one takes a minute.
