Name, company or address changes

Email or phone changes
Not carried: Jobber can only add extra emails and phones to an existing client, never replace one.
- Email and phone travel once, when the client is created. Jobber's api can only add extra emails and numbers to a client, so repeating them on every change would pile up duplicates.
- QuickBooks sub-customers are not synced as clients of their own: their invoices and estimates land on the top level customer.

Credentials for QuickBooks Online and Jobber are checked and sign in tokens refreshed automatically. If a connection was removed on either side, the integration pauses and you get one message with a reconnect button.

When both sides changed the same record
- For each two way record type you choose whether QuickBooks Online or Jobber leads. The leading side always runs first in a sync.
- It only matters when the same record changed in both systems between two syncs. Every other change simply travels.
- A record is never moved backwards by a sync: a paid invoice is not reopened, a decided quote is not undecided.

Questions about QuickBooks Online and Jobber?

- Can I sync QuickBooks Online and Jobber both ways?
- Yes. Clients, invoices and quotes sync in both directions, and you choose which system leads when the same record changed on both sides.
- What happens when an invoice is paid?
- A payment in QuickBooks settles the Jobber invoice with Jobber's own mark received. An invoice paid in Jobber becomes a linked payment in QuickBooks for the open balance.
- Why does a quote arrive in Jobber as a draft?
- Jobber does not let an app send or approve a quote. The office sends it from Jobber, and the customer's decision there travels to QuickBooks.
- Does a changed email reach the other system?
- Email and phone travel when a client is created. Jobber can only add extra addresses and numbers, so a later change is made in both systems.
- Do the invoice totals match?
- Yes. When one side keeps tax outside its lines, the other side gets a Tax and other charges line so both totals are the same amount.
- Will it create duplicates?
- No. Before anything is created in QuickBooks Online or Jobber, the platform looks for the same record first and updates that one instead. Records synced before stay linked.
- What if the connection to QuickBooks Online or Jobber drops?
- The platform notices on the next sync, pauses the integration and sends you one message with a reconnect button. Reconnecting takes one step, and syncing picks up where it left off without creating anything twice.
- How often does it sync?
