Customers
Both waysCreated on either side appears on the other. QuickBooks name rules, unique names and forbidden characters are handled for you.
Invoices
Both waysWith Jobber, Xero and HubSpot. Dates, status and total stay in step. QuickBooks keeps numbering its own invoices, so the books never get conflicting numbers.
Estimates

How QuickBooks Online connects
Official sign in (OAuth)
QuickBooks connects with its official sign in. Click Connect, sign in with Intuit, pick the company file, done. Disconnecting also disconnects the app at Intuit's side.
Requirements
A QuickBooks Online account with invoicing, and at least one product or service item if invoices will be created in QuickBooks.

The honest limits
Where a system draws a line, the page says so, so there are no surprises after go live.
Payments are real payments
An invoice paid elsewhere becomes a payment recorded against the QuickBooks invoice for the open balance. Never double counted.
Nothing gets overwritten by accident
Updates only send the fields that changed, and the platform reads every record before writing it, so a change someone just made in QuickBooks is never lost.
Partially paid and voided
Other systems do not know partially paid, so such an invoice shows as sent there until it is fully paid. QuickBooks cannot un-void an invoice, so reopening one is done in both systems.
