A rule starts when a record is made or changes, when a date comes up such as a due date, when a record has not moved for a number of days, or when a tag is added or removed. It can set fields, move a stage, add a note or a task, tell your team, make a related record, give records to your users in turn or email your customer, and what else it can do depends on your system.
