The honest limits

Where a system draws a line, the page says so, so there are no surprises after go live.

  • Customers only, on purpose

    Square lets no app record a payment on an invoice, so an invoice paid elsewhere could never become paid in Square. Rather than leave invoices open forever, Square syncs customers only.

  • Phone numbers Square accepts

    Square refuses local phone formats. The platform rewrites numbers to the international form; a number Square still refuses is left out so the customer itself still arrives.
